Kenya Wildlife Conservation Leadership
Kenya
Overview
A conservation leadership programme on the Kenyan savannah, combining hands-on wildlife protection with practical leadership development.
Programme structure
This advanced leadership programme runs in three connected phases. Phase 1 — Foundations: intensive sessions in leadership theory, self-awareness and team dynamics. Phase 2 — Field leadership: you lead real projects alongside our in-country partners, applying your skills under guidance. Phase 3 — Capstone: you consolidate your learning, receive 1:1 coaching and present your project outcomes. Weekly leadership labs and peer feedback run throughout.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the programme you will have strengthened core leadership competencies — decision-making under pressure, cross-cultural communication, team facilitation and adaptive problem-solving — through real responsibility in a demanding international environment.
Certification
On successful completion you receive the Impact-Trails Advanced Leadership Certificate, recognising your completed fieldwork hours and capstone project. It is a credential you can add to your CV and LinkedIn, and a tangible record of the leadership competencies you have developed.
Itinerary / typical week
A typical week. Mondays open with a leadership lab and goal-setting. Tuesday to Thursday are hands-on field days where you lead project work alongside your team. Fridays are for reflection, 1:1 coaching and peer feedback. Weekends are free for rest, exploration and optional excursions.
The location
Set on Kenya's vast savannah, you will be based close to the reserve, surrounded by iconic wildlife and big-sky landscapes. Expect early-morning game drives, warm community hospitality and a climate that is warm and dry through most of the programme.
